Gerald Oquendo Sentenced A former Atlantic County corrections officer will spend time in prison after he smuggled cell phones into the county's jail, authorities said. Gerald Oquendo, 35, of Mays Landing, was sentenced on Tuesday, Jan. 23 to three years in state prison, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced. He'll be eligible for parole after two years. Investigators said two family members of an inmate paid Oquendo to bring cell phones into the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Murder Suspect Whose Victim Had Just Been Released From Prison ID'd In Atlantic County Atlantic County authorities are searching for the man who they say killed a recently released ex-con over the summer.  Isaiah Toulson, a 38-year-old Mays Landing resident, is wanted in connection with the slaying of Charles Wynn, said county Prosecutor William Reynolds in a statement late Friday, Dec. 23.  Police in Egg Harbor Township were called to the 6800 block of Delilah Road at about 4 a.m. on Aug. 19 for reports of a man with a gunshot wound. Authorities ID Atlantic City Stabbing Victim Authorities have released the name of an Atlantic City stabbing victim. Dwight Hutchinson, 65, was found by police unresponsive on Sunday, June 5 at about 2:20 p.m. on North Kentucky Avenue, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds. Medical personnel arrived but were unable to revive Hutchinson. Hutchinson was pronounced dead at the scene, Reynolds said. An autopsy was completed by the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office and the cause of death was ruled to be injuries sustained by a stab wound, Reynolds said.
