South Jersey Gets 'Light Sentence' After Shooting At Police, Girlfriend: Prosecutor
A 31-year-old man from Atlantic County has been sentenced for shooting at his girlfriend and police, authorities said. James Weinerman, of Weymouth Township, was sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison for aggravated assault, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. The State is expected to appeal the sentence since the original plea deal called for an eight-year prison sentence, the prosecutor said. A 31-year-old man Atlantic County man who had a standoff with New Jersey State Police pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. James Weinerman, of Weymouth Township. pleaded guilty Wednesday, Nov. 2 to two counts of the second-degree charge, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. IT? State Police Seek Vehicle Stolen Out Of Atlantic County
Authorities are seeking the public's help in locating a vehicle stolen out of Atlantic County. A Ford F-250 with New Jersey license plates MHP81B was stolen from a home in Weymouth Township sometime between 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 21 and 6:30 a.m. on Friday, May 22.
