Tommy's Tavern + Tap has an opening date for its newest location, and announced one more. The fast-growing restaurant chain is opening in Cherry Hill later this month and will soon bring another location to Sea Girt, the business said. Just Salad To Replace Boston Market In Monmouth County Shopping Plaza
A Monmouth County storefront that was once the home of roasted chicken meals will soon serve up specialty salads. Just Salad is preparing to open in the former Boston Market location in a shopping plaza at 1021 Broad Street in Shrewsbury. A spokesperson said the restaurant is "tentatively tracking" toward opening in the third quarter of the year. A restaurant chain specializing in fresh salads and other healthy food options is opening its first location on the Jersey Shore this week. Just Salad will hold the grand opening for its location in the Brook 35 shopping plaza on Route 35 in Sea Girt on Friday, Feb. 2, the company said. UPDATE: A 39-year-old dad who drowned trying to save his daughter at the Jersey Shore has been identified as FDNY firefighter, Mark Batista. Thousands of New Jersey residents remained without power on Monday, April 3, more than a day after the tornados that barreled through the region. According to JCP&L, 2,401 Ocean County residents were in the dark as of 10:50 a.m., most of them being in Jackson — where a tornado was confirmed by the National Weather Service. Authorities have identified the woman killed in a house fire in Belmar on Wednesday, March 15, authorities said. NJ Woman Struck, Killed By DUI Arizona Football Player: Reports
New Jersey native Norah Bruther was struck and killed by an Arizona State University football player over the weekend, authorities said. Bruther, 23, of Sea Girt, was crossing Camelback Road in Scottsdale, AZ when she was struck by 22-year-old Sun Devil Stanley Kambert around 1 a.m. Saturday, Fox10 Phoenix reports. Bruther, a senior associate at Ernst and Young, was allegedly visiting Scottsdale at the time of the incident. A rookie police officer avoided serious injury after slamming his SUV into a home and a trailer between in Sea Girt on Tuesday evening, authorities said. The 27-year-old Class II officer was on his way to a first aid call at Ocean Boulevard around 5:45 p.m., according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey. A New Jersey State Police recruit from Morris County died Tuesday after going unconscious during a training exercise last week. Lucas C. Homeijer, of Boonton, was participating in an active countermeasures boxing exercise with another classmate at the State Police academy in Sea Girt Borough when he went unconscious on Wednesday, Nov. 25, NJSP Superintendent Colonel Patrick J.
