Historical Bronze Bell Stolen, Recovered In Pleasantville; Pair Arrested A historical bronze bell was stolen but later recovered and two men were arrested, authorities said. the Pleasantville Fire Department reported on Oct. 17 that the bronze bell had been stolen. The Fire Department reported that the bell was last known to be located in the rear of the building in an alleyway between the police department. It had been a fixture at the firehouse since the department was formed in the early 1900s. On Wednesday, June 21, at 7:20 a.m., Pleasantville police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving an entrapment. Four-Alarm Tire Warehouse Blaze Displaces 15 South Jersey Families, Injures 2 Firefighters At least 15 families were displaced and two firefighters injured by an overnight fire that destroyed a tire warehouse in Atlantic County, authorities said.  The four-alarm fire broke out shortly before midnight in Pleasantville with reports of explosions  and quickly spread to adjoining homes and apartments early Tuesday.
