SWAT Standoff: Wildwood Man Barricaded Himself In House With Family, Police Say
A Cape May County man was arrested after barricading himself in a house with his family and threatening police in an hours-long standoff, authorities said.
Rakesh Patel, 47, of Wildwood, was charged with three counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree terroristic threats, third-degree resisting arrest, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree obstruction of justice. The Wildwood Police Department announced the charges in a news release on Tuesday, Feb. 13.

Man Wounded In Shooting, Pair Arrested In Atlantic City
A man was shot, a suspect is sought and a pair was arrested on separate weapons charges, authorities said.
On Saturday, April 8, at 8:42 p.m., Atlantic City police responded to the 800 block of Indiana Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert.
As officers were responding, an SUV was observed fleeing the area at a high rate of speed. Police stopped the vehicle at Ohio and Atlantic Avenues. The driver, 32, of Galloway, had sustained a gunshot wound and the vehicle showed evidence of gunfire, police said.

Heroin, Crack, Cash Seized; 3 Arrested In South Jersey: Police
Three suspects were arrested during an alleged drug sale, authorities said.
On Monday, Feb. 28, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Sergeant Ryan VanSyckle, K9 Officer Jeffery Vanegas and Officer Matthew Stricker were surveilling the unit block of North Main Street.
Police reportedly observed three subjects, identified as Angela Tippet, 39, of Pleasantville, Kamaris Robinson, 19, of Pleasantville, and Charles Key, 54, of Pleasantville, engaged in suspicious activity consistent with drug transactions, police said.
The Tippet, Robinson and Key were taken into custody without incident.

Prosecutor: NJ Boy, 14, Driving Stolen Car Shot Dead By PA Man
Two people have been charged in the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy at a New Jersey gas station over the weekend.
Tamir Phillips, 22, of Bensalem, PA, and Chelsea Holman, 29, of Willingboro, NJ, were arrested in the death of Jesse Everett on Aug. 21, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office announced Tuesday.
Phillips was charged with first degree murder and weapons offenses while Holman was slapped with hindering apprehension and obstruction of justice.

Central Jersey Trio Indicted In Child Sexual Exploitation Case
Two men from Central Jersey have been indicted for the possession and distribution of child pornography, authorities said.
A third person was indicted for tampering and obstruction in the case.
Brandon Pascoe, 36, of Keyport, and Craig Reeves, 31, of Long Branch, were indicted for conspiracy to distribute child sexual exploitation material, distribution of child sexual exploitation material, and other related charges, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
