Body Found In Mullica Township Cold Case Still Needs ID Investigators are looking for your help in solving the cold case of a woman found dead in Atlantic County more than 35 years ago. The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced on Tuesday, Feb. 13 that its major crimes unit is looking for the relatives and friends of James “Crab Daddy” Whiting Jr. He was born in 1916 and died in 2011. The FBI is helping the county prosecutor's office in identifying the remains of a woman found in Mullica Township back on Tuesday, July 19, 1988. Cruz was found guilty of second-degree sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and possession of child sexual abuse material. Michelle Carroll, 70, went missing from Homestead Residential Health Care Facility on Weymouth Road on Friday, Jan. 5. She was last seen taking the trash outside at around 5:30 a.m., local police said. Facility management told officers that Carroll may be wearing a tan or black jacket. She's also known to carry a large black purse, which is seen in photos posted on the police department's Facebook page on Saturday, Jan. 6. Mullica Township Burglar Shot, Killed, Prosecutor Says A man shot during an overnight Mullica Township home burglary died of his injuries, authorities said. Paul Destefano, 30, broke into a home in the 3000 block of Moores Avenue and was shot by an unidentified civilian around 3 a.m. Monday, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said. Destefano was airlifted to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City after someone called 911 to report the shooting, he said.
