Robbery Suspect Arrested In Atlantic City, Weapons Recovered: Police An 18-year-old robbery suspect was arrested in Atlantic City, authorities said. On Monday, Oct. 16, patrol officers responded to the 800 block of Pacific Avenue in reference to a report of an armed man being involved in a fight with a woman. Officers arrived and learned that the man, Abdul Chappell, was involved in an argument with the victim when he intimated that he was in possession of a gun and stole her cellular telephone, police said. Atlantic County Man Arrested With Loaded Handgun, Ammo, Drugs A 24-year-old man from South Jersey was arrested on multiple charges after being found with a loaded handgun during a traffic stop, authorities said. Atlantic City Police Officer Joseph Kelly stopped a vehicle at Virginia and Atlantic avenues shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday. During the stop, Kelly arrested a passenger in the vehicle, Elliot Handy of Absecon, police said.  Handy had a backpack that contained a loaded handgun that included a large capacity magazine and a loaded drum magazine and 83 grams of marijuana, according to Lt. Toms River Police Silence Dispute Over Handgun A dispute involving a handgun led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man from Lakehurst Borough, authorities said. Toms River police were called to Main Street Apartments about noon on Wednesday "in reference to a civil matter involving a handgun," they said. A woman told police that Jaylin Evans pointed a handgun at her during an argument. Evans then struck her in the head and pushed her into the walls of the residence, according to police.
