Theresa Schneider Mattera, a former journalist and school secretary from Pennsauken, died on Saturday, Jan. 6, according to her obituary on the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home website. She was 59 years old. She was a former print news reporter writing under the byline Tery Schneider in the late 1980s for the Gloucester County Times. She won a New Jersey Press Association Award for best small circulation news reporting, her husband, Jack, said. Philadelphia Reporter, NJ Dad Facing Child Porn Charges
A South Jersey man who graduated from the University of Maryland and went on to work in TV journalism in Pennsylvania and Virginia has been arrested on child pornography charges, authorities announced. Cleve W. Bryan Jr. was charged Wednesday, Oct. 18 by police in Washington Township, Gloucester County with endangering the welfare of children by possessing child pornography, the department said. A Philadelphia-raised TV news reporter was shot and killed while covering an earlier shooting in Florida, his station confirmed. Dylan Lyons, 24, a Spectrum News 13 reporter died when the suspect in an earlier incident returned to the crime scene and opened fire Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 22, his Orlando station reported Thursday, Feb. 23.
