Foul play was not suspected after human remains were found at a Jersey Shore construction site, authorities said. State police are investigating after a human skull was found in a state forest in Ocean County, authorities said. Troopers responded to Brendan T. Byrne State Forest in Manchester Township at around 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, according to a state police spokesperson. Police had received a report of a hunter who discovered "human remains." A 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the suspicious death of Trenton mom Corrine Episcopop-Daniels, authorities announced. Human remains were found by a transportation department worker on Route 80, state police confirmed. The NJDOT worker was mowing the grass when the remains were found near the eastbound lanes on the right shoulder in the grass at milepost 16.6 in Allamuchy shortly after 12:25 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told DailyVoice.com. The remains were identified as those of a Black male, Marchan said. The cause of death is unknown. The incident is under investigation. Additional details were not released.

An off-duty New Jersey state trooper found human remains while driving on I-287 in Middlesex County, authorities said. The discovery was made near Exit 8 in Piscataway on the southbound side of the highway around 3:25 p.m., state police told NJ.com. It is not clear exactly what the trooper found.
