Manchester Township police responded to the house fire on Conestoga Drive in the Whiting section of the township at around 5:13 p.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 3, the department said in a news release. Officers found smoke coming from the back of the home and called firefighters to the scene. Everyone inside the home got out safely and no one was injured. Two Cats Killed In South Jersey House Fire Two cats were killed when a house caught fire in Ocean County, officials said. Brick Township firefighters responded to the unit in a multi-family building on Northrup Drive at around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 27, the Brick Township Fire Safety Bureau said in a news release. The person inside the house got out safely after hearing the smoke detector and no humans were injured. Firefighters had to battle heavy flames due to "excessive storage" inside the home.
