A man wanted for robbery and aggravated assault was found with a loaded gun in Atlantic City, authorities said. Ronald Johnson, 40, of Atlantic City, was arrested on Friday, Apr. 12 after officers saw Johnson on the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release on Thursday, Apr. 18. A fugitive wanted in the Philadelphia area for more than five years was caught in Atlantic County, authorities said. Nyieem Ruff, 44, of Philadelphia, was arrested on Saturday, Mar. 23, the Brigantine Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, Apr. 2. An officer stopped Ruff in a vehicle he was driving without any lights on at around 2:51 a.m. Investigators said Ruff gave the officer a name and "other biographical information" instead of a driver's license. Atlantic City police found a wanted man who had a stolen gun and ecstasy, authorities said. Hakim Clark, 33, of Atlantic City, was arrested on Friday, Mar. 8, the city's police department said in a news release on Tuesday, Mar. 12. An officer stopped Clark while he was walking in the beach block of North Carolina Avenue at around 11:52 a.m. Clark had two active arrest warrants, including one from North Carolina with extradition back to the state. A fugitive from Brooklyn was rescued from the ocean and then arrested in Atlantic City, authorities said. On Tuesday, May 2, at 4:47 p.m., Officer Salvatore Rando Jr. was flagged down by a boardwalk ambassador in reference to a male that appeared to be in distress. The male was seen going into the ocean at Hartford Avenue, Atlantic City police said. Rando responded to the beach and found Darren Brathwaite in the surf in waist high water.
