Covid-19: These South Jersey Counties Have Highest Coronavirus Rates Three counties in South Jersey rank among the top 12 counties statewide in confirmed coronavirus cases, according to New Jersey Health Department statistics. As of Tuesday, Jan. 2, Camden County ranked sixth statewide. Burlington County ranked 10th and Mercer County ranked 12th. There were 177,428 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide on Tuesday, according to the state's COVID Dashboard. Phil Murphy said. New Jersey saw an additional 1,621 new positive coronavirus cases overnight Sunday bringing the statewide total to 128,269.
