Toms River Toddler Injured By SUV After Running Into Road: Police A Toms River toddler was injured when she ran into a road and was hit by an SUV, authorities said. Toms River police responded to a report of a pedestrian crash involving a toddler on Clayton Avenue at around 1:24 p.m. on Sunday, Apr. 14, a police department spokesperson said. The 15-month-old girl was in a home's front yard when her mother went inside for a moment and left the child with other family members. While the toddler was briefly unsupervised, she ran into Clayton Avenue. She was hit by a 2021 silver Chevrolet Equinox driven by an 86-year-old Toms River man who was traveling west.…
