Heroin Kingpin Who Ran Fatal Drug Ring From Atlantic County Jail Eligible For Parole In 9 Years A man who ran a heroin-selling network from the Atlantic County Jail was sentenced, authorities said. Emery Chapman, 44, of Pleasantville, was sentenced to 21 years in state prison, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced on Friday, Feb. 2. Chapman will be eligible for parole after nine years and once he's released, he'll have five years of "intensive parole supervision" under the No Early Release Act. The girl was sitting outside her home on North Sovereign Avenue when a man rode by on a bicycle, according to Atlantic City police.  The man stopped and went into the backyard where he attempted to hide. He then used hand signals and whistles to try and get the girl's attention, police said. Kenneth Creek of Atlantic City has been charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and weapons offenses, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. Creek is believed to be armed and dangerous. He should not be approached, the office warned.
