Update: Police ID 18-Year-Old Father Fatally Shot In Pleasantville

Updated: An 18-year-old father was shot and killed late Tuesday night in Atlantic County, authorities said.

The victim was identified as Byron Jones of Pleasantville, the father of daughter who is about to turn 1-year-old.

Jones died of multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

The fatal shooting occurred about 11 p.m. in the 300 block of Edgeley Avenue near Ansley Boulevard in Pleasantville.

Pleasantville police and detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit were investigating.
