Former NFL, XFL Player Leander Antwione Williams Charged With Assault For Jan. 6 Offenses: Feds A former NFL linebacker who played for the XFL's DC Defenders for a brief stretch has been charged in connection to his violent role in the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, federal authorities announced on Thursday.
