Threats of violence at a Prince George's County high school were proven to be unfounded, but not before giving some administrators a scare on Tuesday morning. Investigators were called in early on Sept. 24 to Bladensburg High School on 57th Avenue to probe a reported threat of violence that was made by a group of students, officials say. A teenager in Baltimore has been convicted of killing a 27-year-old father while on his way to visit his young daughter, the Maryland Attorney General's Office announced. Parris Harris, 19, has been found guilty of the first-degree murder of Desmond Gardner in January 2023 following a three-day trial earlier this month.
