SpaceX Launch Dazzles Maryland Residents
No, it wasn't a UFO. That was a SpaceX rocket you saw early Tuesday, Sept. 10. NASA Chooses Maryland Native For Upcoming Manned Flight To Moon
It's going to be "to infinity and beyond," for a Maryland astronaut who got an assignment that is truly out of this world. Baltimore native Gregory Reid Wiseman will be taking his second foray into space as he has been chosen to venture around the Moon on Artemis II, the first crewed mission on “NASA’s path to establishing a long-term presence at the moon for science and exploration.” Commander Wiseman will be joined on the scheduled 10-day flight by pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialist 1 Christina Hammock Koch, and Mission Specialist 2 Jeremy Hansen in what NASA is calling “humanity’s…

SpaceX Launch Baffles East Coast
What some first thought was a meteor making its way up the East Coast turned out to be Elon Musk's SpaceX. The Falcon 9 rocket sent Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida just after 7:30 p.m., according to a news release. Footage of the rocket was captured about 30 minutes later in Washington DC, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
