Seven Dogs Perish In Massive Maryland Blaze That Displaced Family: Fire Marshal Several family pets died overnight in Cecil County when a fast-moving fire broke out in a Port Deposit home. Crews from the Rising Sun Volunteer Fire Company were called shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 to Post Road, where residents advised that a kitchen fire had broken out. Upon arrival, firefighters were met by flames and smoke showing from the home, which suffered extensive damage before the scene was declared under control approximately 45 minutes later, investigators said. Historic Vehicles Saved After BMW Catches Fire At Maryland Garage Several classic cars were saved by fast-moving first responders who were called to a garage fire when a BMW engine sparked while it was being worked on in Cecil County.  Shortly before 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning, first responders from the Rising Sun Volunteer Fire Company were called to Kustom Auto Repair on Washington Schoolhouse Road in North East when an engine malfunction led to a two-alarm blaze, officials say.
