Recall Issued For 64,300 Vacuum Cleaners That Could Overheat, Catch On Fire
A recall has been issued for more than 64,000 vacuum cleaners because they could overheat and catch on fire.
Bissell announced it is recalling cordless multi-surface wet dry vacuum models 2551, 2551W, and 25519 because the circuit board inside the vacuum’s battery pack can overheat and smoke, posing a fire hazard.
A total of 61,000 of the 64,300 vacuum cleaners being recalled were sold in the United States, and the rest in Canada.

Around 18,000 wall-mounted basketball hoop products are being recalled for posing a safety threat by randomly detaching and falling to the ground, officials said.
The recall comes more than four years after a 14-year-old boy was killed by a Goalsetter wall-mounted basketball goal when it fell on him in June 2018 in Granger, Indiana, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, which announced the recall on Thursday, Oct. 27.

Cancer-Causing Chemical Found In More Shampoo Products, Independent Laboratory's Study Reveals
An independent laboratory is reporting that it has found a cancer-causing chemical in more batches of shampoo products.
Many brands of dry shampoo products -- including some Dove, Nexxus, Suave, TIGI, and TRESemmé products -- had already been recalled by manufacturer Unilever containing the cancer-causing chemical benzene in an announcement made on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
On Tuesday, Nov. 1, the independent laboratory Valisure, based in New Haven, CT, reported finding a high level of benzene in more batches of dry shampoo.
