'Case Of Mistaken Identity' Hagerstown Man Sentenced After Killing Wrong Man In 2013 Robbery
A Hagerstown man has been sentenced to life in prison plus 40 years after being convicted of a 2013 murder. Vaughn Darvel Bellamy, 32, was sentenced for the crime on Tuesday, April 11, according to the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office. Bellamy is one of three men who were convicted of the murder of Alexander Buie in late 2013. The first of the three men to get sentenced was Bryan Byrd, who received life in prison in October 2022. The Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office announced that a 21-year-old man has been convicted of shooting a man in broad daylight in an incident caught on camera. Clarksburg resident Rodjaun Neal-Williams is facing decades in prison after being found guilty of voluntary manslaughter and the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence for his role in the death of Javon Gordon, 23, of Boyds.
