Police in Maryland are warning area residents to be on the lookout after a resident escaped from custody. At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the Howard County Police Department were notified that Randy Morris, an inmate, escaped from a transport van. The 38-year-old - who was in custody for burglary - got away in the area of Dorsey Run Road and Route 32. Police in Howard County have identified the 23-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a weekend crash. Odenton resident Devinn Dwight Gleaton was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Jessup on Sunday, July 30, according to the Howard County Police Department. At approximately 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, Gleaton was riding a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle east on Route 175 between Route 1 and Pocomoke Avenue when he lost control and went over a curb and into a pole. An 82-year-old passenger sitting in the back of a Mercedes-Benz that was struck in Howard County died at from her injuries at the hospital, police confirmed. The driver of a pick-up truck who set off a fatal three-vehicle crash in Howard County was allegedly under the influence when he lost control, police say. Columbia resident Rikelmy E.
