Major Mall-Based Chain To Close 543 Stores After Filing For Bankruptcy
A major retailer primarily located in malls and headquartered in Pennsylvania is set to close all 543 of its stores following its third Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Closures for all rue21 locations are expected to be completed within the next two months with going-out-of-business sales coming soon. The company, headquartered in Pennsylvania outside Pittsburgh, had first filed for bankruptcy in 2003, and then for a second time in 2017, when it closed around 400 stores. A 20-year-old convicted felon is in custody following a mass shooting that left eight with gunshot wounds over the weekend not far from James Madison University in Virginia, authorities announced. Harrisonburg resident Tyreaf Isaiah Fleming was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 17 following the shooting, which happened in the 1500 block of Devon Lane in his hometown and left eight of his victims with non-life-threatening injuries. Six Men Busted For Soliciting Minors During Online Sting Operation: Fairfax County Police
On Tuesday, August 9, Fairfax police announced that six men were arrested for their attempt to solicit inappropriate behavior from minors, who were really police officers, on the internet, police said. The six men would initiate explicit conversations or ask for sexual behavior from the police officers who were pretending to be juveniles, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
