Two men are facing weapons charges following a series of hit-and-run crashes that were reported in Frederick County, police say.
Frederick resident Chung Thang, 25, and his passenger, Anthony Chin, 27, of Elkridge, were both arrested this week following a report of multiple incidents that rapidly escalated when they tried to escape.
According to the Frederick Police Department, at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, officers were called to the 5700 block of Butterfly Lane to investigate a reported hit-and-run after Thang allegedly struck two parked cars and attempted to flee.

An Elkridge drug dealer operating out of a Howard County motel has been apprehended during a massive bust, police say.
Late on Thursday afternoon, the Howard County Police Department announced that Emil Watkins, 40, is facing a host of charges after being caught with cash and contraband.
According to investigators, tipsters advised the agency that Watkins was allegedly selling crack cocaine out of an Elkridge motel, leading to his arrest.

Police ID Family Involved In Overnight Murder-Suicide In Maryland
New details have been released by the Howard County Police Department after the patriarch of a family died at the hospital following a murder-suicide in Elkridge on Thursday night.
Nayyar Abbas Syed, 61, the believed shooter, was pronounced dead at St. Agnes hospital overnight, according to officials, who also identified his other victims.
The shooting suspect's wife, Syeda Aalia Nayyar, 57; daughter, Syeda Fatima, 25; and daughter-in-law, Alizey Fatima, 33, were all pronounced dead at the scene.

The Elkridge man, going by the nickname "Buzzsaw", had a craving for his local convenience store's chicken box when a "Multi-Match" ticket sparked his interest, according to Maryland Lottery officials.
