An E. coli outbreak linked to carrots has left one person dead and sickened 39 people in 18 states. The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) says the infections have come from multiple brands of recalled organic whole bagged carrots and baby carrots sold by Grimmway Farms, which is based in Bakersfield, California. Nationwide Public Health Alert Issued For Ground Beef Products Due To Possible Contamination
Ground beef products distributed nationwide may be contaminated with E. coli and should not be consumed, the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced. FSIS has issued a Public Health Alert on Saturday afternoon, April 20.warning consumers about the issue. A recall was not requested because the products are no longer available for purchase. Wendy's E. Coli Outbreak Sickens 100+ People: Report
The number of people sickened by an E. coli outbreak linked to Wendy's sandwiches continues to climb, the New York Post reports. While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention initially said 37 people in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania were sickened from eating lettuce in the sandwiches, that number has since jumped to more than 100, the outlet said. A popular Baltimore County waterway that has been a site of holiday traditions in previous years was off limits to party goers this year due to extremely high bacteria levels, reports CBS 13.
