A man “seen as a father figure” to his former fiancé’s children will spend decades behind bars for sexually abusing a girl for years, the Frederick County State’s Attorney announced. Celestino Lopez-Aguilar, 37, of Frederick, was sentenced to a combined 105 years with all but 50 years suspended after being convicted on all nine counts of sex abuse of a minor in December last year. A Maryland man is facing life in prison for his role in the violent murder of a man in Howard County after a physical altercation went sideways, the state’s attorney’s office announced. What started as a routine traffic stop led to fresh charges for a convicted felon who was caught trying to hide a stolen semi-automatic handgun from police that he was prohibited from possessing in Maryland. Capitol Heights resident Ticket Deashon Tucker, 30, was busted with an illegal handgun by members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office during a stop near the intersection of Cecil Avenue and Kent Avenue in La Plata, authorities announced late on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
