A construction worker was killed when the heavy machine he was operating tipped over at a job site in Virginia, authorities said. Prince William County Police said officers were called to the site near Prince William Parkway and Minnieville Road in Woodbridge shortly before 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13. Investigators said the 61-year-old man was operating heavy machinery when the equipment overturned on top of him. A construction worker in Harford County suffered serious injuries and had to be airlifted to an area hospital after falling out of a truck and into the foundation of a home in Joppa. First responders were called before noon on Tuesday, Sept. 3 to the 1400 block of Philadelphia Road, where there was a reported injury at the construction site with a possibly unstable truck at the scene. The bodies of two construction workers were reportedly recovered from the site of the Francis Scot Key Bridge collapse in Baltimore Wednesday, March 27, according to state police and multiple reports. Two of the six construction workers killed in the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse have been identified.
