Cold CASE: Serial Abuser Convicted Of 1981 Rapes In Maryland: State's Attorney A 67-year-old man is facing nearly two decades in prison after admitting to rape and sexual assault for a pair of attacks dating back to 1981 in Montgomery County, authorities announced on Friday. Marion Pearson, now living in North Carolina, pleaded guilty on Oct. 4 to second-degree rape and sex assault for the attacks of two victims in April and June 1981.  In March 2022, prosecutors say that detectives from the Montgomery County Police Cold Case Unit identified an open rape case from April 1981, and additional testing linked the crime to Pearson, who served 22 years behind bars…

Early on Friday morning, Ricko Ford, of Capitol Heights, 29, and 30-year-old Gaithersburg resident Wayne Pitt allegedly sought to a Ride-On Metro Bus in Wheaton in a strange carjacking that was called in overnight.
