A Gaithersburg mother has been arrested and charged with murder after police say she drowned her 3-month-old daughter during a bath on Sunday, Dec. 8. Mackenzie Rose Colgan, 37, was taken into custody at her home in the 7300 block of Summit Avenue after detectives from Montgomery County Police’s Major Crimes Division identified her as the suspect. The man wanted in connection to the shooting death of 40-year-old Cedric Warner last month has turned himself in, Montgomery County authorities announced. Elevator Rider Exposes Himself To Customers In Montgomery County: Police
Some elevator riders inside a Montgomery County building got more than they bargained for to start their week after a man allegedly exposed himself to them unprompted, police say. At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 17, officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police responded to the 900 block of Thayer Avenue, where there was a report of a man who unabashedly exposed himself to customers on an elevator. Maryland Man Arrested After Stealing Mail From USPS Collection Boxes
A Hyattsville man has been arrested for alleged mail theft after he was seen taking items from several USPS collection boxes in Silver Spring, authorities say. Shaheem Jerry Denson, 26, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 3 after the theft that occurred in the 8100 block of Georgia Avenue, according to Montgomery County police. Investigators say Denson appeared to reach into a USPS collection box and retrieve mail. Gunman Charged With Attempted Murder In Rockville Fight: Police
A 23-year-old man has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after shooting a victim several times during a fight in Rockville last week, authorities say. Najee Emanj Hardy-Estwick, who has an unidentified address, was arrested on Tuesday, July 19 for allegedly shooting a man in the 100 block of Gibbs Street around 1:45 a.m., Friday, July 15, according to Rockville City police.
