'Flash Mob' Theft Ring Hits Maryland: Four Charged in $800K Crime Spree: AG
Four men have been indicted in connection with an organized retail crime ring responsible for 37 thefts across six Maryland counties, causing approximately $800,000 in losses, authorities announced Monday.
The suspects are accused of overwhelming stores with “flash mob” tactics, targeting high-end retail items, and reselling stolen goods.
Attorney General Anthony Brown revealed details about the operation, which spanned Howard, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Montgomery, Queen Anne’s, and Prince George’s counties.

Anecio Rodriguez, Lovelle Little, Kevin Mills, and Twan Ellis, all of Baltimore, are accused of committing more than 80 crimes, ranging from armed carjackings, robberies, and assaults to burglaries and a murder, Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. A quick-thinking woman was able to keep herself safe and alert police in Montgomery County while a burglar was roaming through her home.
Walter Lee Wright, 67, has been arrested and charged for an alleged burglary that was reported last week in the 4500 block of Dorset Avenue in Somerset that quickly went awry, police say.
