Second Teen Charged As Adult In Howard County After Baltimore Man's Body Found In Car: Police
A second teenager has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a Baltimore man who was found dead in a vehicle in Howard County, according to police. A 14-year-old from Severn will be charged as an adult after Kendrick McLellan, 26, was found dead in a vehicle behind a Howard County office building over the weekend. The teen was taken into custody at his high school in Anne Arundel County, police say. His arrest comes after a 17-year-old was apprehended - also at his school with a loaded gun in his backpack - earlier this week for his alleged role in McLellan's murder. …

Child Abuser Sentenced To Life For Injuring Infant Who Died In Maryland: State's Attorney
The man who brutally abused an infant who later died in Frederick County will never see the light of day again after being convicted of child abuse last year, the state's attorney's office announced. Jesse Cook, 45, was convicted by a jury in September 2023 on multiple offenses after the Frederick native was found complicit in the death of a child in 2020 who was found with grave injuries. Two Baltimore County men who posed as police officers to abduct and torture their victims as part of a larger robbery conspiracy have been convicted following a three-week trial, federal authorities announced. Dennis Allen Hairston, 34, of Windsor Mill, and 33-year-old Rosedale resident Donte Davon Stanley are facing a lifetime in prison after being found guilty of kidnapping and other offenses.
