Mercedes Driver Killed After Losing Control, Crashing SUV Into Tree In Maryland: Police A driver was killed after failing to negotiate a tricky turn in Anne Arundel County on Monday morning, police say. Officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Department were called at around 1:40 a.m. on Feb. 5 to investigate a reported single-vehicle crash on Brock Bridge Road south of River Bridge Way in Laurel. According to officials, Duke Kepha Mwebi was driving a 2021 Mercedes GLC300 north along on Brock Ridge Road when he lost control and went off the right side of the roadway and into a tree. The crash occurred on the 300 block of Arden Road West around 3:50 p.m. on Monday afternoon, Jan. 29, Anne Arundel County Police said. Investigators believe the child, of Brooklyn, Maryland, ran into the roadway and was struck by a 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by a 17-year-old male heading eastbound on Arden Road W. Jason Tyler Crawford was heading west on Route 100 in a Honda Accord EX when he lost control near the I-97 overpass and struck a concrete barrier around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, Anne Arundel County police said. Ronald Wayne Talbert, 78, was killed in the crash that happened shortly after 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 5 on Route 4 at Lower Pindell Road, according to Anne Arundel County police. Investigation revelaed that Vernon Frederick Colfack, 54, was driving south on Route 4 when he struck the vehicle driven by Talbert as Talbert was attempted to cross Route 4 onto Lower Pindell Road.
