Shortly after 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon, first responders were called to the area of Gaither Road and Railroad Avenue in Sykesville, where there was an injured hiker who fell approximately 20 feet down an embankment while walking in a wooded area. Missing Howard County Man, 26, Found Dead The search for a missing Howard County man came to a tragic end over the weekend when he was found dead, police said. Troy David Walter, 26, of Sykesville, had last been seen Thursday, Sept. 15, near 15600 block of Old Frederick Road in Woodbine by a coworker around 10:15 a.m., Howard County police said. It was not immediately clear where his body was found. No foul play was suspected.
