The hit-and-run driver who attempted to flee from a Charles County mall after striking a vehicle and ping-ponging off police vehicles wasn't quick enough to avoid members of the sheriff's office, according to officials. LaTanya Lisa Lee, 31, has been identified as the driver apprehended following an early morning hit-and-run at around 2 a.m. at the St. Charles Towne Center in Waldorf, authorities announced on Tuesday. A member of the Charles County community saw something, and said something, leading to the apprehension of four teens who were caught breaking into vehicles at St. Charles Towne Center, officials say. On Monday afternoon, officers were called to the parking lot after being tipped off about a group of minors who were spotted using tools to break into cars. Authorities have released details in a stabbing during a weekend carnival in Charles County. The 15-year-old boy was in a group of teens when they became involved in an argument with another group around 9:05 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at the St. Charles Festival at St. Charles Towne Center in Waldorf, the sheriff's office said. The boy approached officers working the event when they were approached by the teen. The incident happened in the lower lot of the parking lot of the mall, police said.
