Driver Error: Police Investigating After Mobility Scooter Rider Struck In Calvert County
“Driver error” has been determined as the cause of a crash that left a man operating a personal mobility scooter with what are being described as serious injuries in Calvert County. Officials say that at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 74-year-old Christopher Carryington, of North Beach, was operating his mobility scooter in the crosswalk when he was struck by Owings resident Kathy Ann Jones, 67, in Chesapeake Beach.
