A convicted felon already serving time for an incident in St. Mary's has been sentenced to an additional prison term for two separate cases in Charles County, the state's attorney's office announced. Convict With 'Total Disregard For Human Life' Sentenced For Shooting Into Maryland Home
A man with a history of violence in Southern Maryland is heading to prison for a shooting incident in St. Mary's County, the state's attorney's office announced. Marbury resident James Stephen Gass, Jr., 32, was sentenced to 25 years in prison with 13 years to serve for shooting into an occupied home in June 2022. Shortly after 12:30 a.m. on July 2, 2022, prosecutors say that several bullets were recovered from inside a home, fired by Gass, who was prohibited from possessing weapons due to previous convictions.
