Cocaine, Loaded Gun Seized From Suspended PA Driver, Passenger In Westminster Stop: Sheriff
A loaded gun, cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia were seized from a Pennsylvania man and his passenger in a Carroll County stop over the weekend, police said. A Carroll County sheriff's deputy was patrolling along Baltimore Boulevard in Westminster, when he spotted a blue Ford Mustang speeding past vehicles in the right turn lane around 3:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, the county sheriff's office said. A two-year-long investigation has led to the arrest of 37 people from Pennsylvania and Maryland, the York County District Attorney's Office announced on Wednesday. The York County Drug Task Force and the Hanover Borough Police Department began the investigation in Nov. 2021, following the arrest of Billy Austin Norris who was allegedly caught delivering cocaine. An 18-year-old man was struck by a car while crossing a street in Hanover, on Saturday, Oct. 22, authorities say. The victim was hit while "wearing dark clothing" and "not using a marked crosswalk," at 9:11 p.m. in the 1000 block of Carlisle Street, according to Hanover police.
