Man Found Shot To Death During Welfare Check At Maryland Parking Lot: Police Police in Prince George's County have identified the 38-year-old man who was found dead during a welfare check over the weekend. Officers were called at around 10:10 p.m. on Sunday night to a parking lot in the 7700 block of Finns Lane in Lanham to conduct the welfare check, where they found New Carrollton resident Kamil Ahmed suffering from traumatic injuries after being shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are working to determine a motive or possible suspect as of Tuesday, Aug. 20. The incident remains under investigation. Steven Prescott Sollers was found shot to death in a wooded area in the 7700 block of Finns Lane when police were called for a welfare check around 8:45 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 24, according to Prince George's County police. Flying Truck Lodges Itself Into Side Of Lanham Home A Lanham home is left with a massive hole after a large vehicle slammed into it earlier today, authorities say. Around 1:45pm, Friday, Dec. 30, the Prince George's County Fire Department responded to the 7600 block of Finns Lane after reports of a vehicle in a house. Upon arrival, first responders witnessed a vehicle that had become airborne and lodged itself into the side of the home.
