On Friday, June 9, the Metropolitan Police Department announced that Southeast DC resident Keith Williams, 23, has been charged with murder for his role in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Brendan Ofori, of Fort Washington, in May.

Man Wanted After Kidnapping D.C. Woman At Gunpoint
Police are asking for the public's help locating a suspect in an armed kidnapping that occurred in the D.C. area, authorities say.
Marquez Parker, 44, allegedly kidnapped Selita Lee, 30, at gunpoint in the 2900 block of Van Ness Street, NW, Wednesday, July 27, according to D.C. police.
Lee was later confirmed to have been located by D.C. police shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday. The whereabouts of Parker are still unknown.
He is believed to be a suspect, but a warrant reportedly has not been secured for his arrest.
