Threatening Video Causes Alarm For Middle School Officials In Charles County: Sheriff
Alarm bells were sounded for some school administrators when a video of a middle school student making purported threats made the rounds in Charles County. Shortly after 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, an officer assigned to the Benjamin Stoddert Middle School in Waldorf was alerted of a student who was showing video of themselves to other students holding what appeared to be a firearm. A minor has been accused of assaulting and sexually offending a student at a Charles County middle school, the sheriff's office announced. This week, a School Resource Officer assigned to the Piccowaxen Middle School charged a juvenile dating back to an incident that played out on Wednesday, May 31. Detectives from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after receiving tips about alleged verbal and social media threats that were made by a boy targeting an area middle school.
