Students Charged In Strong-Armed Robbery At Mattawoman Middle School, Sheriff Says Three middle school students are facing charges after allegedly stealing a name-brand ski mask from a fellow student during dismissal, authorities announced. The incident happened on Nov. 18 at Mattawoman Middle School in Charles County, where investigators say three students, all 13 years old, approached another student and forcibly took their mask. On Nov. 19, an SRO at Henry E. Lackey High School was advised about a student who was yelling in the hallways that he was going to bring a weapon to school to harm another student. Administrators at the Benjamin Stoddert Middle School were alerted shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon about a student who was possibly in possession of a gun inside the building. Charles County High School Student Hospitalized After Possible OD While Vaping, Sheriff Says A student at a Charles County high school got a scare on Friday after apparently ingesting THC from a vape pen and possibly overdosing, according to the sheriff's office. At around 11 a.m. on June 7, a student at St. Charles High School was at school and called their parents to advise they were overdosing on an unknown substance. The parents contacted school administrators, officials say, and they located the student, who was taken to the nurse's office.
