The purple and pink lights were visible due to a Solar Storm, or a Coronal Mass Ejection from the sun on Tuesday, Oct. 8 which arrived in the area Thursday. "I got a text from a friend about 30 minutes ago," said Joe Jenkins, of Poughkeepsie, NY, "so I ran out and looked due north. You couldn’t miss it." Pasadena resident Jacob Joseph Muir was sentenced to seven years in federal prison, followed by 30 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to one count of receipt of child porn.
