There will be an increased police presence in Lexington Park following several reported unprovoked assaults, according to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. Detectives are investigating three separate reports of assaults that were called in on Wednesday morning on Great Mills Road near St. Mary’s Square and the South Coral Drive areas. Head-On Hit-Run Driver Who Fled Maryland Crash On Foot Arrested, Sheriff Says
It didn't take long for members of the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office to track down a hit-and-run driver who took off on foot in Lexington Park over the weekend. Patrick Shawn Daly, 35, was taken into custody following a head-on crash on Saturday, where witnesses reported one driver fled in the 21000 block of Great Mills Road. According to the sheriffs office, responding deputies determined that Daly was at-fault for the crash, and had left the scene before they arrived.
