Police have made an arrest in the murder of a Maryland convenience store owner earlier this month.
Anthony Edward Stevens, 48, of Capitol Heights, was charged with first- and second-degree murder, Prince George’s Police announced Friday, March 22.
Detectives believe Stevens attacked Mohammad Hanif, 50, of Annandale, VA, while stealing items from his store on the 900 block of Larchmont Avenue in Capitol Heights on Tuesday, March 5.

Police ID Woman Fatally Shot Outside Maryland Housing Complex, Second Victim Still Critical
An Upper Marlboro woman has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting earlier this week, authorities say.
As previously reported by Daily Voice, Miranda Queen, 37, was shot multiple times in the 12500 block of Woodstock Drive E around 10:15 p.m., Monday, Aug. 8, according to Prince George's police.
An unidentified man was also shot in the incident and is suffering from serious injuries in an area hospital.
Both were rushed to a hospital, police said, where Queen was pronounced dead a short time later.

Daquan Dockery, 22, of Washington DC, has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting that took place at the Prince George's Mall last week, Prince George's Police said.
