Nicholas Albanes, 42, was sentenced on Tuesday, Feb. 18, to 20 years, with all but 17 years suspended, in the Division of Corrections after pleading guilty to armed robbery last month. The charges stem from a violent encounter in May 2023, when Frederick police responded to reports of a robbery and possible attempted child abduction near Hillcrest Drive and Lancaster Place.
