MD/PA Bank Robber Indicted In 2nd Robbery Spree Months After Release: Usdoj
A man who recently completed his sentence following a plea deal with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for six armed robberies — was indicted on March 20 following a second robbery spree of five more businesses, Palmyra police announced on Monday, March 25, 2024.
Mark Shane Herrick, now 47, of Hanover, was first arrested by the FBI in 2009 for robbing the following businesses while armed with a tire iron or crowbar:

David's Bridal Laying Off 9,200 Employees Amid Bankruptcy Filing
David's Bridal will send more than 9,000 workers home in an upcoming round of layoffs, according to a disclosure form it filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
The Montgomery County, PA-wedding retailer expects to lay off 9,236 employees nationwide in a three-phase plan that began on Friday, April 14, according to the state website.

Ten Killed In Pennsylvania Fire Identified
Three children and seven adults died in a fire that destroyed a two-story home in Luzerne County, PA on Friday, Aug. 5, authorities said.
The blaze broke out on the 700 block of First Street in Nescopeck around 2:40 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police said. Ten people died fire while three adults were able to escape, police said.

Cold Case Murderer Of 9 Year Old Girl Revealed: PA State Police
UPDATE: James Paul Forte, was identified as the killer based on DNA evidence on Thursday at a press conference held by Pennsylvania state police. Forte died of natural causes in May 1980, the police said at the conference.
