Members of the Laurel Police Department were called to the area of Main Street and Lafayette Avenue at around 1 p.m. on April 26 to investigate reports of a person who had been struck. IDs Released For Victims Of Deadly Shooting At Laurel Recording Studio
Police have released the identities of the two victims killed in a shooting that left a third person wounded at a recording studio in Laurel Tuesday morning. Louis B. Rackett, 23, and Quincy P. Green, Jr., 21, both of Washington, DC, were found with gunshot wounds as officers responded to the 600 block of Lafayette Avenue just before 1:35 a.m. on March 12. A man died at the hospital days after being struck by a drunk driver in Prince George’s County, authorities said. Terrence A. An elderly woman was able to escape into her vehicle and drive to the police station while a 54-year-old woman struck her multiple times with a hatchet outside of her home in Maryland, authorities said. Seen her? An alert has been issued by law enforcement agencies in Maryland as they attempt to locate a 54-year-old woman with ties to Virginia and South Carolina who has been missing since last year. A Laurel man was arrested for stealing a car that was later involved in a crash in Montgomery County, authorities said. Manuel A. An attempted murder suspect from Laurel has been charged in connection with shooting an officer while serving an arrest warrant, authorities said. Christopher Simms, 23, shot a Laurel Police officer while police were serving an arrest and search warrant in the 100 block of Bryan Court just after 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, the department said. The 35-year-old officer was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment and was released later the same day, the department said. His name was not released. A missing man from Sliver Spring was found dead more than a week after he was reported missing, authorities said. Osman Hussam Osman, 22, was found dead in Laurel on Monday, March 21, Montgomery County Police said.
