Baltimore Officer Shot By Gunman Released From Hospital The Baltimore County officer shot by a gunman has been released from the hospital. The officer was struck Saturday June 4, while responding to a call of "unknown trouble" on 500 Virginia Avenue around 8:40 p.m., his department said. He and his colleagues heard gunshots when they arrived, and then encountered the suspect leaving the building. That person fired at officers, striking one of them.
