An attack inside a Meade High School bathroom left a 17-year-old student fighting for his life, and two other students are now facing attempted murder charges, Anne Arundel County police say. The stabbing happened shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, when a School Resource Officer found the victim in a second-floor bathroom at the school suffering from multiple stab wounds. Child Critically Injured, Woman Hurt In Maryland Townhouse Blaze Sparked By Fire Pit
A 9-year-old child and a woman were injured in a fire caused by an indoor ignitable liquid flame kit designed for making S'mores, Anne Arundel County officials said. Shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30, firefighters from Anne Arundel County, Fort Meade, and Howard County responded to a townhouse in the 8500 block of Crooked Tree Lane in Laurel for reports of a fire in the living room. FBI Seeking To Exhume Body Of Woman Slain 54 Years Ago, Featured In Netflix Doc
It's been almost 54 years since Joyce Malecki's unsolved murder. Now her killing might be one step closer to being solved. The FBI is seeking an order to exhume her body, Kurt Wolfgang, the executive director of the Maryland Crime Victim's Resource Center said. Malecki was 20 years old on Nov. 11, 1969, when she disappeared. Malecki was found dead two days later at Fort Meade, and is buried at Loudon Park National Cemetery in Baltimore.
