A multi-agency law enforcement investigation has led to the arrest of a Maryland man who is allegedly part of a "significant drug trafficking organization on the Eastern Shore,” state police announced. Caroline County resident Cory James Aviles, 36, of Federalsburg, was arrested and is being held without bond following his arrest on Friday, Nov. 4, according to police. Baltimore Man Killed Infant Son In Camper, Authorities Say
A Baltimore man who killed his infant son last May in Federalsburg has been arrested, officials say. Sean Casey Pierce, 49, was charged with multiple murder and abuse-related charges after his 2-month-old son Chance Pierce was died of blunt force trauma in a camper on the 200 block of Buena Vista Avenue the afternoon of Monday, May 30, Maryland State Police say. The infant was taken to the Nemours Children's Hospital in Delaware where he was pronounced dead. Maryland Firefighter, 20, Killed In Delaware Crash With Cement Truck
A volunteer firefighter from Federalsburg, MD was killed in a Delaware crash, officials say. The crash happened on Dec. 17, in Bridgeville when police say 20-year-old Cameron Gray failed to negotiate a curve on eastbound Atlanta Road and crossed into the path of a cement truck that was traveling westbound, head-on. The fully loaded cement Mack Granite truck was operated by a 53-year-old male, he tried to avoid the collision by braking but couldn't avoid the crash Gray was traveling in a Toyota and was pronounced dead at the scene.
